EVERY car with a Hangzhou license plate will have its repair and maintenance records made available on a new phone app released this week by the Hangzhou Automobile Service Administration and the Research Institute of Expressway.
More than 1,000 auto sellers have provided service data covering about 650,000 cars to the app’s operator.
A year ago, the Ministry of Transport began building auto repair and maintenance databases in Nanjing, Wuhan and Hangzhou. Repair shops and car dealerships are required to send service details, such as fault diagnoses, quality guarantee information, and parts and labor costs to the databases.
Hangzhou has 2.35 million motor vehicles, including 1.27 million cars in urban areas.
