NBA superstar LeBron James from Miami Heat will enroll Chinese youngsters in Hangzhou for his basketball camp, King's Academy, this summer. It will be the first time his camp has accepted Chinese trainees.
The King's Academy will run from July 27 to August 8 for its sixth year since it first opened in 2006. About 800 youngsters from around the world joined the camp last summer.
Candidate selection will start in April. Basketball devotees aged 7 to 17 are eligible to apply. During the interview, applicants will be tested for their passion for basketball, knowledge of LeBron James, spoken English and basketball skills. The camp will pick 20 children from Hangzhou.
All the trainees will enjoy training by James himself and a trip to the home court of the Lakers, where they may see the training of NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
The King's Academy also promises to recommend outstanding trainees to some famous basketball colleges in the United States.
