The 11th Hangzhou Citizen Photography Festival to be held in May welcomes everybody on the planet to participate, according to a Metropolitan Express report yesterday.
With the theme of "Our 40-year Hangzhou memories," the photographs for the festival will show the fruits of reform and opening up in Hangzhou since 1978.
The festival devotes a special sector for photos taken by foreigners working, studying, living or touring in Hangzhou. And celebrities will also be invited to submit their photographs. Entries should be related to Hangzhou in some way. They can be about, but not limited to, Hangzhou people, scenery and folk life.
Please submit high-definition original photos with caption of no more than 100 words to firstname.lastname@example.org. Short videos are also welcome. The photos will be exhibited at Gushan, Bai Causeway, Citizen Center and other places in the city. Photo entries to the festival will also be displayed on metro carriages in Hangzhou.
Citizens from Nice of France will be invited to the city to take photos, which will be sent to Nice for an exhibition there. Lectures and photo workshops by masters will also be held during the festival.
