The 14th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival (CICAF) will open on April 26 with a ceremony at Baima Lake Animation Plaza in Binjiang District, the organizer said on Saturday.

People can attend the festival at 10 venues across the city. They can also see the festival via the smart phone and interact with exhibitors online.

Exhibitors from 85 countries and regions will attend the CICAF, including USA, Japan, South Korea, France, UK and Czech. Angouleme International Festival, Annecy International Film and Animation Festival, Ottawa International Animation Festival and 12 other famous international animation festivals will have their presence at the summit of the festival.

The six-day CICAF was first held in 2005 with support from the central government and the provincial government. It has become the world's largest trade fair for animation films, cartoon publications and cartoon products.
