Hangzhou city government issued a notice on the development of Hangzhou East Intelligent Manufacturing Corridor on its official Website yesterday.
New-generation information technology, automobile and new-energy vehicle, high-end equipment will be the key developing areas while artificial intelligence, virtual reality, block chain, quantum technology, commercial aviation and spaceflight, biotechnology and life sciences will be the focus for future development in the corridor.
The intelligent manufacturing corridor in the east of the city covers an area of more than 500 square kilometers on both banks of the Qiantang River, including Jianggan, Binjiang, Xiaoshan, Yuhang and Fuyang districts.
There are a dozen high-tech zones within the area, including Hangzhou High-tech Zone, Dajiangdong Industrial Hub, Hangzhou Economic Development Zone, Xiaoshan Economic Development Zone, Yuhang Economic Development Zone, Hangzhou Linkong Economic Demonstration Zone and Hangzhou Qiantang Intelligent City.
By 2025, six international industrial cooperation parks will be set up there in addition to three innovation centers of manufacturing industry at the provincial level. By 2035, this area will be built into a leading industry development zone in the world.
