The foundation was laid in Jianggan District on Saturday for an intelligent complex to accelerate the development of high and new technology industries in the northeast of the city, according to a Metropolitan Express report yesterday.
With a total investment of 6.5 billion yuan (US$1.0 billion), the intelligent complex, namely, Tusincere Science and Technology City, covers a land of 800,400 square meters, or the size of more than 110 standard soccer fields. It is on the west of Dingqiao Road, north of Danonggang Road, east of Tongxie Road and south of Linding Road.
After its completion, it will be the core of Dinglan Intelligent Town in Jianggan District. The first phase covering a land size of 13 standard soccer fields is expected to be completed in the mid of 2020. It will provide 350,000 square meters of covered area, which is about the size of 50 standard soccer fields.
It will be planned and designed by Tsinghua University, according to the report. The Tusincere Science and Technology City is jointly developed by Tusholdings under Tsinghua University and Jianggan District.
