Plum trees in Xixi National Wetland Park are blooming with a vengeance, adding color and vitality to the festive season. There are more than 20,000 plum trees in the picturesque wetland park in the west of the city. Chaoshan area in Yuhang District, Lingfeng Hill and Gushan Island by West Lake are also popular places to view plum blossoms in Hangzhou. Chaoshan has a dozen plum trees dating from as early as the Tang (618-907 AD) and Song (960-1279) dynasties.
