During his visit to Hangzhou last Sunday, Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen welcomed local Chinese to visit his country. He was here to promote the China-Denmark Tourism Year and to cement a deal with a Chinese travel portal.
Danish Ambassador to China Carsten Damsgaard announced that Denmark will open three visa application centers in China this year. Last year, it set up five, including one in Hangzhou.
Statistics indicate 120 million Chinese traveled abroad last year, compared with just 57 million in 2011. About 218,000 Chinese visited Denmark last year.
