Metro Line 2's northwest extension opens this afternoon

Passengers take Metro Line 2's northwest extension at Qingchun Square Station at 3:21pm today, the first train for the test run of the extension to Gucui Road Station. The 11.8-kilometer extension heads from Qingchun Square to Qingling Road, Jianguo Road N., Zhonghe Road N., Fengqi Road, Wulinmen, Shentangqiao, Xianingqiao, Xuyuan Road, Gucui Road and Fengtan Road. However, Xianingqiao Station will be put to use later and Fengtan Road Station will be open to traffic together with the second phase of the line, according to Hangzhou Metro Company, the subway operator.
