Zhejiang Museum, built in 1929, is the largest museum in Zhejiang Province with a vast collection of more than 100,000 antiques, ranging from paintings to calligraphies, ceramics, lacquer ware and jade carvings. Each year it holds about 40 shows besides its permanent exhibit.
The museum has two branches in Gushan and Wulin areas to display more collections. The museum has been opened to the public for free since January 1, 2004.
