Arrival by plane
If you are flying to Hangzhou from other parts of the world and China, you will arrive at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. From there, catch a taxi or airport shuttle bus to the downtown area, which is 27 kilometers away.
There are no flights between Hangzhou and Shanghai as the distance is too short. Most visitors arrive by train, coach, taxi or rental car.

From Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to city center
By airport shuttle:
The waiting room for the shuttle bus is at Entrance 14 of the Arrival Hall on the first floor. The shuttle takes passengers to Wulinmen at downtown Hangzhou.
Ticket prices: 20 yuan. Operation hours: first bus starts at 7:30am. 8am-10pm, intervals at 15 minutes. 10pm-2am, intervals at 30 minutes. After 2am, buses start according to the flight arrival time. The cab stand is located outside Entrance 10 to the Arrival Hall on the first level. Cab fare should not be more than 150 yuan from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to downtown Hangzhou.
Fare: Basic at 11 yuan. For distance within 10km, the rate is 2.5 yuan/km; for distance above 10km, the rate is 3.75 yuan/km. The waiting charge is 2.5 yuan/4 minutes.
For luxury cabs at the airport:
Fare: Basic at 11 yuan for first 2km. For distance within 8km, the rate is 3.6 yuan/km; for distance above 8km, the rate is 5.4 yuan/km.
There are no additional charges for all cabs during peak hours or late nights. Smoking is not allowed in any cabs, and if the driver smokes while driving, you have the right to refuse payment.
