Genghis Khan (AD 1162 -1227) was the Great Khan and the founder of Mongol Empire. Under his guidance, the Mongolian created a unique and splendid culture by learning from both China’s Central Plains culture and foreign cultures, and inheriting their traditional nomadic culture. Therefore, The Mongolian culture is an indispensable part of Chinese culture.

The exhibition is divided into two chapters: history and folklore. By displaying the antiques of diverse dynasties from 960 AD to the modern times, it tells the history of the Mongolian Ethnic Nationality including its origin, Genghis Khan’s unifying and ruling the whole Mongolian Plateau, and the ethnic nationality’s development in modern China.
