Altogether 117 pieces (sets) of collections from Tibetan Museum, Potala Palace, Norbulinka as well as other Tibetan cultural institutions are displayed in the exhibition. Dating from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) to the 1950s, the exhibits include imperial seals, Thang-ga, figure sculptures, scriptures and sophisticated musical instruments used on religious occasions.

The exhibition is aimed at representing the unique Tibetan culture. Having assimilated cultures of India, Nepal and ancient China through thousands of years, Tibet has developed a distinctive social structure, which once featured a fusion of religion and politics.
