Lan Ying (1585-1664 or 1666) was a famous painter during the Ming Dynasty (1368―1644) era. He was a native of Hangzhou and representative of “Zhe Style” painters. He excelled in painting landscapes, flower-and-bird scenes, wintersweet-and-bamboo scenes, and landscapes. The objects of his paintings were usually spectacular and vigorous.
